Chosen to represent the guys for the spring version of distinctive prints in “PHXFW‘s Menswear Moment”, I can’t ask of too much from menswear stylist Tim Boado, as anyone would want to stand out and create something special for the runway; I just wanted to see a bit more of a style I could actually leave with instead of something that was just fun to look at. The looks had great style, just not my style…

Stumbled upon through the power of the internet, I came across a fun and extremely creative illustrator in Victor Nunes with his cheerfully simple and detailed drawings. Utilizing household items to feature and toy with, not only is every drawing unique in itself in the scene they create, but each of the rubber bands, the pen caps, and even the whistles were used differently every time.

Gathered amongst the people walking the streets of downtown Phoenix, cruising the sidewalks of Grand Avenue, the First Friday of March and Art Detour weekend is wholeheartedly the biggest and best way to get your barring’s to the public Phoenix art scene. Celebrating the individual artists and what downtown opens the doorway to, its awesome to see that close to 100 galleries, studios, pop-up shops, and restaurants actually and literally did so for 1 major weekend.
Quantum Leap – Varnell Hill
Recently released Hip Hop concept album Quantum Leap, created by Yannick Beats and the sonically established character Varnell Hill, easily has some music that could be added to any Hip Hop playlist. Stemming from a mixture of a couple different influences, I’ve personally been playing this album regularly and already have a couple of tracks on repeat.

Committed to innovation and design for the modern man, the sneakers from Clae Footwear are an easily great addition to the shoe collection. Overall good sneakers that are comfortable, clean, and stylish enough to mix with a number of outfits, these were definitely a nice pick up.
