Setting the mood for a smooth but groovy day, Thelonious Martin‘s new instrumental album, Wunderkind, is everything I need to ride to.

If you know about me and my type of vibe, I love a little “jazzy” bounce hanging around my playlists. Not only to drive around to, but to have on whenever. As mainly a collection of instrumentals that can practically stand on their own and give you every reason to press repeat, there is a subtle insert of original songs floating in there too that makes this album completely worth it.

Inspired by classic Hip-Hop producers like J Dilla, The Alchemist, Pete Rock, and Just Blaze, Thelonious definitely has the sound of someone new with an old-school style. I’ve personally been playing this in the background for about a week, haha… Give it a listen. Enjoy!
